In our effort to create an enabling environment for all our suppliers and potential suppliers, we have compiled frequently asked questions and answers to help you navigate our processes more effectively. Should you have any questions, the Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine Supply Chain Management Department would like to share the following frequently asked questions with their answers. While we believe that a fair attempt was made to assist you in becoming a preferred supplier within SBPM, we hope that the following responses will be of great help to you.

Questions and Answers
Question 1: How do I become a vendor at Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum?
Answer: To become a supplier at Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum mine, you will require the following documents as a minimum requirement:

CIPC registration documents

SARS confirmation letter of compliance or a tax pin

Confirmation of banking details (a letter from the bank)

COIDA
-
Proof of address
-
BBBEE certificate or affidavit

Company profile, and
-
Company letterhead.

The documents must be valid at the time of registration and must be kept up to date.
Question 2: Where do I submit my documents?
Answer: Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine has appointed Innoven Consulting to assist with supplier data verification and the capturing of supplier information. The first step will be to access the Innoven website and register. This will enable you to complete the vendor application form. You will be given the opportunity to upload relevant documents directly to the website, giving you total control over which documents are uploaded.
Question 3: Please share the Innoven website.
Answer: www.innoven.co.za and then go to register, where you will create a profile for your company with a unique username and password.
Question 4: Can I access the SBPM website from Innoven platform?
Answer: Yes, you will click on the SBPM logo, and you will be directed to our website
Question 5: Where do you advertise tenders?
Answer: Our tenders are advertised on our website under tenders.
Question 6: How do I get a contract?
Answer: A contract is only concluded with companies that are successful in the bidding process and have complied with all the requirements for the tender in question. Where a company was successful through a Request for Quotation (RFQ) process, a purchase order will be issued to such a supplier
Question 7: Do I need to form part of any local business forum?
Answer: The mine recognizes any independent companies and those that belong to a business forum. The choice to belong lies entirely with an individual, backed by freedom of association.
Question 8: What is EOI?
Answer: The EOI is an abbreviation for expression of interest
Question 9: When do you issue an EOI?
Answer: As and when projects or large tenders are to be issued to the market, the mine would advertise an invitation to submit an EOI. This is used to pre-qualify suppliers before the official tender is issued to the market.
Question 10: Where are the EOI’s advertised?
Answer: All EOI’s are advertised on the SBPM website under tenders.
